Men's Soccer Picked First in AMCC Preseason Poll

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer teams have been selected as the favorites to win the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) this season, announced in the AMCC preseason coaches' polls released Thursday.

Last season, the Lions advanced to the AMCC semifinals and finished with a 13-6 overall record. Behrend last won the AMCC Championship in 2019. Senior goalkeeper Sam York (Akron, OH/Revere) was tabbed Preseason Co-Defensive Player of the Year. York was a first team All-AMCC selection last year. He posted an AMCC best seven shutouts and led the team in wins (11). York tallied a 0.93 goals-against average and started in 16 contests.

The reigning AMCC Champions, Mt. Aloysius, were slated to finish second followed by Alfred State in third.
