ALTOONA, Pa.  The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team scored three goals in the first nine minutes of the game and went on from there to defeat Penn State Altoona  5-0 Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments: 

* Behrend has now won five straight, all by shutout, and has outscored the five opponents 17-0
* John Ziobro (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) scored his fourth of the season on a deflection at the 5:18 mark
* Nick Laskey (Charleroi, PA/Charleroi) collected his first of the year on a free kick at 7:55 and Cole Thomas cashed his second 38 seconds later on a deflected shot from the left line to mak it 3-0
* All the damage was inflicted on Altoona goalkeeper Alexander Ferry
* The lead grew to 4-0 at 24:20 when Ziobro notched his second of the game from 30 yards out
* Behrend had 18 first half shots (nine on goal) to just two (zero on goal) for Altoona
* Sasha Mohoruk (State, College, PA/State College) replaced Sam York (8-2-4) in the Behrend goal to start the second half
* Evan Dougal (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richalnd) then replaced Mohoruk with about 18 minutes left
* Mason Le (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillian) finished the scoring with his second of the year at 65:36
* Overall, the Behrend Lions finished with 25 shots, 13 on goal, while Altoona totaled three

Noteworthy: 

* The Lions have 10 shutouts overall
* The last goal given up by Behrend came at Mt. Aloysius in a 1-1 tie October 1.
* The five Behrend goals are the second most in a game this season (6 vs. LaRoche on October 8)
* The five markers are the most allowed by Altoona this season
* Behrend has allowed only six goals in 15 games
* Altoona started the season 2-1 but is 1-6 since
