LeDonne, York Named USC All-Region

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team had two players named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region VII team for the 2022 season. Senior Justin LeDonne (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) was selected to the second team, while senior Sam York (Akron, OH/Revere) was chosen to the third team.

LeDonne and York are earning All-Region honors for the first time. Both helped the Lions defense to finish ranked tied for first in shutout percentage, posting 16 shutouts in 23 games for .696 percent. Behrend also ranked fifth in team goals-against average (.431) and ninth in goal differential (43-10). LeDonne and York were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) First Team, while York was voted Defender of the Year.

Individually, York finished second among NCAA Division III players in shutouts with 13 and also ranked third in goalie minutes played (1,932) and fifth in goals-against average (.466).

The Lions competed in the AMCC Tournament and advanced to the ECAC Championship game, falling 3-1 to Rutgers-Newark to finish the season 15-3-5.
