FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team recorded a 2-0 shutout victory over Fredonia in non-conference action Wednesday night.

Key Moments:

* Behrend got on the scoreboard first in the 13th minute of Wednesday's contest
* In the Lions attacking zone, senior Justin Hockenberger (Spencerport, NY/Spencerport) stole the ball from a Fredonia midfielder and then proceeded to make a lead pass to Blake Cooper (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) for the score
* Cooper found the net once again with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute
* Goalkeeper Sam York (Akron, OH/Revere) preserved the shutout with a one-on-one save against a Blue Devils' attacker in the 40th minute to send Behrend into halftime with a 2-0 advantage
* York registered his fifth shutout of the season, finishing with two saves
* The Lions narrowly outshot Fredonia, 10-7, while the Blue Devils took one more corner kick than Behrend (6-5)
* Hockenberger and Cooper both tallied three shots apiece. Fredonia's leader in shots with two each were Fredrick Butler and Brendan Adams
* Cooper broke the tie with teammate Johnathan Swann's (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny) six goals for the team lead in goals (eight)
