Behrend Downs MCLA To Begin Season; Advances To HLM Championship
The Penn State Behrend men's soccer started the 2024 campaign with a 3-1 victory over the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in the first round of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament Friday afternoon.

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's soccer started the 2024 campaign with a 3-1 victory over the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) in the first round of the Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament Saturday afternoon.

Key Moments:
* The Lions applied heavy pressure on the Trailblazers to start the game with three straight shots in the 11th minute that were blocked and saved
* In the 18th minute, Behrend netted its first score of the season on a through ball from Jacob Gajewski (Akron, NY/Clarence) that was deposited in the back of the net by Blake Cooper (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional). This marked the first collegiate point for Gajewski
