Behrend Men’s Soccer Set for NCAA First Round Matchup vs. Johns Hopkins
The Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team will head to No. 15 Johns Hopkins for the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
BALTIMORE, MD – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team will head to No. 15 Johns Hopkins for the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Behrend (10-6-4) earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) automatic bid with a 5-4 penalty-kicks victory over Alfred State in the conference championship this past Saturday.
This marks the 11th AMCC title and ninth NCAA Tournament selection for the Lions, first since 2019.
Johns Hopkins (12-3-4) registered an automatic bid by winning the Centennial Conference Championship with a 5-3 penalty-kicks victory against Muhlenberg on Saturday.
The Blue Jays will also host No. 21 Washington & Lee (13-3-4) and Otterbein (12-6-3) in the four-team pod. The winners this Saturday will face-off against each other on Sunday.
This will be the first matchup in program history between Behrend and Johns Hopkins.
