Cassano Earns USC All-Region Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's soccer senior Andrew Cassano (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) was selected to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches (USC) NCAA Division III Men's All-Region VII Third Team.

Cassano, an All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) First Team selection this season, led the Lions defense to six shutouts in seven conference starts, five of which were victories.

For the season, he started 17 games, ranking tied for first in the conference with two game-winners for four points. In the AMCC Championship game, Cassano delivered the deciding penalty kick score to give Behrend a 5-4 shootout win.

This marks the second selection to the All-Region Team for Cassano as he was picked to the 2021 USC All-Region Second Team.
