Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) and Clay Altemose (Apollo, PA/Apollo Ridge) were double winners in the effort for the Lions. Both were a part of the 400 medley relay victory, while Simon won the 100 free (48.55) and Altemose was first in the 200 backstroke (2:02.27.
Javier Solivan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/UHS) and Everett Sargent (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) made up the rest of the 400MR for a time of 3:41.94.
Solivan also came in first in the 200 breaststroke (2:2.28) and third in the 200 free (1:49.23). Sargent placed third in the 50 free (22.55).
Eric Peirce (Harmony, PA/Seneca Valley) had the top time in the 200 IM with a 2:07.94, while diver Andrew Neder (Erie, PA/Fairview) won both diving events. The diving events were just on the one meter. Neder posted a score of 144.45 for five dives and 250.55 for six dives. Eric Lasher (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) also competed in the diving events, taking second in the one-meter board for five dives with a 125.00 total.
Ryan Mitcheltree (Moon Township, PA/Moon) posted a pair of third-place finishes on the day. His first was in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:00.92 and the second in the 200 butterfly (2:04.34). Brian Mong (Franklin, PA/Franklin) had the second-best time in the 500 free (5:03.51).
To end the meet, Simon, Altemose, Sargent and Andrew Opalewski (Slippery Rock, PA/Slippery Rock) swam a time of 3:20.70 in the 400 free relay.
Behrend returns to action on Saturday at St. Vincent. Meeting begins at 1 p.m.
