Simon Breaks Two Records at Kenyon Invitational

GAMBIER, Ohio – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) broke two program records at the Kenyon Invitational on Saturday.

Simon broke both records that he just set at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships last weekend. The sophomore swam 50.02 to reset the 100 backstroke record, while swimming a time of 22.8 in the 50 backstroke to lead off the 200 medley relay.

Simon joined Javier Solivan (San Juan, Puerto Rico/UHS), Everett Sargent (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) and Clay Altemose (Apollo, PA/Apollo-Ridge) in the medley for a time of 1:33.32. The foursome fell short of the team record they set in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championships.
