INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) became a two-time All-American Honorable Mention with his ninth-place performance in the 100 backstroke at the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday.

Simon broke his own school record in the preliminaries with time of 49.16 to enter tonight's consolations finals in ninth place. He then won the consolation finals heat to stay in ninth with a new record-setting time of 48.66.

Last season, Simon placed 14^th in the preliminaries and 12^th in the finals with a time of 49.79 in the 100 backstroke.

Simon will compete in the 100 freestyle, beginning with the prelims tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
