Men's Swimming Takes On W&J Saturday in Junker Pool

ERIE, Pa.  – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team returns home for the first time since November 3. The Lions will host Washington & Jefferson in non-conference action on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Junker Center Pool.

* The men's team won the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational back on Dec. 6-8
* The Lions accumulated 1043.5 points to take first out of five teams
* Mark Patterson (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin), Chase Bietz (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) and James Connolly (Allentown, PA/Parkland) all hit an NCAA "B" cut times at the Blue Devil Invitational
* Connolly won the 1650 freestyle in an AMCC, school and Fredonia pool record and NCAA "B" cut time of 16:16.50
* Behrend enter's the meet with a 2-1 dual record this season

Washington & Jefferson News & Notes

* The Presidents are 2-2 overall this season, defeating Bethany 111-63 on December 5, 2018
* W&J picked up its first PAC win against the Bison  
* The Presidents start the New Year with three road meets
* W&J's other victory was a 110-72 decision over AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford on Nov. 17
