Men's Swimming and Diving Places Fourth at Grove City Classic

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team placed fourth out of five teams in their season opener at the Grove City Fall Classic on Saturday.

* Sophomore Chase Bietz (Clearfield, PA/Clearfield) and Quinn Fischer (Fairview, PA/Cathedral Prep) were double winners on the day for the Lions
* Bietz won the 100 breaststroke with a winning time of 59.29, before Fischer touched first the 500 freestyle and beating the field by nearly seven seconds
* Fischer, Jacob Eshelman (Franklin, PA/Franklin), Jacob Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Bietz claimed the final relay of the day, winning the 400 freestyle relay in 3:15.16.
* Bietz, Matt Karenbauer (Butler, PA/Knoch), Fischer and Liam Watterson (Brentwood, PA/Baldwin) placed fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:40.36
