Another Pool Record Falls; Men's Swimming and Diving Downs Westminster
The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving set the pool record in the 200 medley relay and won 11 events to defeat Westminster 173-99 in non-conference action on Saturday in the Junker Center Pool.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving set the pool record in the 200 medley relay and won 11 events to defeat Westminster 173-99 in non-conference action on Saturday in the Junker Center Pool.

* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair), Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area) and Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) set another pool record
* The group set the pool record at Pitt-Bradford and then came back to set the record at home
* Compton, Perham, Fowkes and Tumino won the event with a new pool time of 1:33.62
* Fowkes and Tumino added two individual wins on the day
* In the backstroke events, Fowkes led the way with a time of 53.32 in the 100 and then 1:59.55 in the 200
* Tumino's wins were in the 50 free (21.05) and the 100 free (47.07)
* Compton won the 200 free with a time of 1:45.13, while Perham came in first in the 500 free in 5:04.39
* Ryan Willis (State College, PA/State College) had the fastest 100 breaststroke time in 1:02.53 and
Ryan Okey (Erie, PA/McDowell) followed with first place in the 200 butterfly (2:08.07)
* The final two events when to Mike Pazuchanics (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) and Ronan Murphy (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia)
* Pazuchanics posted a time of 2:25.90 for first in the 200 breaststroke and Murphy finished the 100 butterfly with a winning time of 55.41
* The dual-meet win is the third this season for the Lions

* Behrend returns to the pool on Friday, November 22 at the three-day Blue Devil Invitational hosted by Fredonia. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m. with finals at 6 p.m.
