Tumino, Compton Break Records on Day One at Fredonia Invite; Lions Take Early Lead

FREDONIA, NY – Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) set three records in the 50 free to lead the Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team at the Fredonia State Blue Devil Invite on Friday night.

* As a team, Behrend won four of the five events on the night

* Compton, who set the team record in the 200 IM last year on this day, did it again with a new time of 1:53.39
* Compton also broke the AMCC open record while swimming to a first-place finish
* Fowkes, Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair), Compton and Tumino made up the 400 medley relay team that won with a time of 3:26.33
* Perham and Shane Rupert (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) dropped their times in the 500 free preliminaries to advance to the "A" finals
* Perham, who had the sixth best time heading into the finals, led the Lions with a third-place finish with a time of 4:56.11
