FREDONIA, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team won the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational for a second-straight year, earning 2062 points for first place out of six teams.

* The Lions never slipped out of first place over the three-day invitational
* Behrend swam away with the win, edging second-place Brockport by 647.5 points
* Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) and Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) were double winners on the day
* Tumino won the 100 freestyle with a new pool and team record of 45.76
* Zachary Turner (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) came in second behind Tumino in the 100 free in 47.96
* Compton, who won the 100 butterfly, won the 200 butterfly in a new team record time of 1:51.36 while Ronan Murphy (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) was second in 2:02.32
* Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area) was also an individual winner on the night, claiming the 200 backstroke
* Fowkes led a 1-2-3 finish with a winning time of 1:55.07
* Isaac Stoeckle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) took second in the 200 breaststroke (1:59.34) and Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell) was third (2:00.40)
* The fourth first-place finish by the Lions came from the 400 freestyle relay
* Tumino, Turner, Pierce and Compton touched in first with a time of 3:08.20
* Shane Rupert (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) led off the finals with a fourth-place finish in the 1650 free in 18:13.02
