Behrend Swims Past Fredonia

FREDONIA, NY. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving earned their fifth dual-meet victory with a 170-61 win over non-conference Fredonia on Friday night.

* The Lions swept five events, while winning 10 overall to help down the Blue Devils
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), Glenn Fowkes (Vandergrift, PA/Kiski Area), Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey), and Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) won the opening 200 medley relay, winning in a time of 1:41.80
* Behrend had two other foursomes place second and third in the same event for the first sweep
* Comtpon, Fowkes, and Tumino won individual events, beginning with Tumino in the 100 breaststroke
* Tumino led a 1-2-3 finish with a first-place time of 1:03.93
* Fowkes followed in the 100 freestyle, taking first place in 51.11 and having two teammates in a close second and third
* Compton won the 500 freestyle in the same fashion (1-2-3) with a time of 4:48.66
* In the 1000 freestyle, Mike Pazuchanics (McMurray, PA/Peters Township) won in 11:05.02
* Isaac Stoeckle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) won the 200 freestyle, before Zachary Turner (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg) touched in 57.97 in the 100 backstroke for first
* Ryan Okey (Erie, PA/McDowell) touched the wall in 2:35.67 in the 200 breaststroke for the win
* Diver Jacob Earley (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) claimed both diving events for the Lions
