Behrend Men's Tennis Takes 8-1 Victory to Win Third Straight Match

The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team would take an 8-1 victory over Alfred University at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, PA.  The blue and white have improved to 6-6 overall.

The blue and white got solid performances from Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine-Richland) who would win number one singles (6-1, 7-5) and team up with Shane Mosier (Kersey/St. Marys) to win number two doubles(8-2).  Erkin Nesirli (Baku/Baku Oxford School) would also win in both singles and doubles as he would take the number two singles 6-0, 6-2.  He would team with James Getty (Erie/Harborcreek) to win the number one doubles in a tie breaker 9-8 (7-4).

Also earning victories on the day were Kelly Manning (Sharpsville/Kennedy Catholic) number three doubles(8-1), John Michalko (Washington/McGuffey) number three doubles (8-1), and Brad Nagel (West Alexander/McGuffey) number five singles (7-6, 6-3).

The Behrend men will continue their home stand as they will play two more consecutive matches at home.  Up next will be a conference match-up with Frostburg State on March 28 followed by a meeting with Penn State Altoona on March 29.
