Men's Tennis Blanks Pitt-Bradford in AMCC Match

The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team shut out the Pitt-Bradford Panthers by a 9-0 score on Friday, March 19 to improve to 6-4 on the season and 2-0 in the AMCC.  Pitt-Bradford falls to 0-1 with the loss.

Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine Richland) led the charge with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win at #1 singles before teaming with Chris Galvin (Erie/McDowell) to post an 8-1 win at #1 doubles.  Galvin won his #2 singles match by scores of 6-3, 6-3. 

Peter Bissert (Pittsburgh/Seton-LaSalle) rolled with a 6-0, 6-3 win at #3 singles and teamed with John Michalko (Washington/McGuffey) for an 8-1 win at #2 doubles.  Jake Fling (Erie/Villa Maria), Brad Nagel (West Alexander/McGuffey), and Jason Grosch (Warren/Warren) each won their singles matches in straight sets.

Behrend men's tennis is right back at it on Saturday with a conference match versus Penn State Altoona at 1:00 p.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. conference showdown on Sunday against D'Youville.  Both matches will be played in Erie at the Westwood Racquet Club.
