Men's Tennis Drops Conference Match to Penn State Altoona

The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team was back in action on Saturday, March 20 against conference foe Penn State Altoona.  Altoona would get the better of the Behrend Lions by a 5-4 score.

Junior Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine Richland continued his great play with both a singles win and a doubles victory.  Blackstone defeated his opponent in singles by scores of 2-6, 6-3 and 6-2.  He would team up with Chris Galvin (Erie/McDowell) to win in number one doubles by a score of 8-1.  Kelly Manning (Sharpsville Kennedy Catholic) and John Michalko (Washington/McGuffey) also teamed up to win in doubles by an 8-4 score.

Galvin would add the only other singles victory for the blue and white in straight sets by scores of 6-4 and 6-4.

The Behrend Lions are now 6-5 overall and 2-1 in the AMCC.  The blue and white will be back in action tommorow when they take on another AMCC oppenent in D'Youville.  The match is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
