Allegheny Sweeps Behrend, 9-0

ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's tennis team swept the singles and doubles competition to post a 9-0 victory over Penn State Behrend in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Westwood Racquet Club.

The Lions' (4-7) Elliot Blackstone and Chris Galvin took one game from their opponent in singles play. At No. 1 singles, Blackstone won 6-2 before falling 6-3 and 10-7 in the third game. Galvin won the middle game 6-3, but dropped the final game by a close score of 7-6.

Three Gators swept their singles matches, not allowing a single point.

Behrend returns to action on March 7 against St. Joseph at Hilton Head, S.C. Match time is 8:30 a.m.
