Blackstone Named AMCC Tennis Player Of The Week

ERIE, Pa. – Senior Elliot Blackstone has been named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for going undefeated in two matches this weekend for Behrend.

Playing at No. 1 singles and doubles, Blackstone picked up four victories in a 1-1 week for the Lions (6-12). Against Alfred, he rallied in the in the second game to win 6-4, 7-6 before posting a 6-1, 6-3 victory over the top player from St. John Fisher. Blackstone won both doubles by an 8-6 score.

He has an 11-7 singles record this season, including an 8-6 mark in the No. 1 spot.

The Lions return to action on Thursday at Westminster and return home for two straight conference matches Friday and Saturday.
