Men's Tennis Blanks Pitt-Greensburg

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team won every match against Pitt-Greensburg, only giving up 20 game points total and posting eight shut-out matches to defeat the Bobcats 9-0 in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday.

Elliot Blackstone won every game for both doubles and singles at the No. 1 spot. He teamed up with Chris Galvin in doubles for an 8-0 win. Jake Fling and John Michalko posted an 8-1 score at the No. 2 doubles, while Jason Grosch and H. Mert Ozcan sealed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 victory.

Blackstone, Grosch and Michalko blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-0. Jake Fling, playing at No. 4 singles, only gave up one game, winning 6-1, 6-0. Galvin and Goda were the final singles winners for the Lions (8-12). Galvin won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 and Goda was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Kyle Stine in the fifth spot.

Behrend, who posted its third straight conference, returns to action on Wednesday against Washington & Jefferson. Match time is 3 p.m.
