Men's Tennis Remains Undefeated in AMCC Play

ST. BONAVENTURE, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team remains undefeated in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action with a 9-0 win over Pitt-Bradford on Thursday night at St. Bonaventure.

The Lions (9-12, 4-0 AMCC) capture their fourth straight conference win and third consecutive 9-0 victory over an AMCC opponent. Elliot Blackstone and Chris Galvin each posted a 6-0, 6-0 score at No. 1 and No.2 singles, respectively, after teaming up for an 8-0 doubles win in the first flight.

Chris Tillman, playing at the third spot, defeated David Kopp 6-1, 6-0. Jake Fling went an extra set with Allan Miller, but pulled off a 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 victory. In the fifth flight for singles, Brian Goda was a 6-2, 7-5 winner and John Michalko recorded identical scores (6-1, 6-1) for the No. 6 decision.

Fling and Michalko tallied an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles while Tillman and Goda followed in the three flight for an 8-6 victory.

The Lions return to action on Saturday at Mt. Aloysius, beginning time is 1 p.m.
