Baldwin-Wallace Defeats Men's Tennis
The Baldwin-Wallace men’s tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 9-0 in the Lions first match of the spring season on Saturday afternoon.
MEDINA, Ohio – The Baldwin-Wallace men's tennis team defeated Penn State Behrend 9-0 in the Lions first match of the spring season on Saturday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (3-0) swept the doubles, before winning all six singles matches. Playing at No. 1 singles, freshman Taimi Ando (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) took Alex Trzeciak to a third set before falling 3-6, 7-5, 10-5.
Marion Mason (Ellwood City, PA/Riverside) put up a good fight at No. 6 singles. He dropped a close first set 7-6 (7-5) and then won the second 6-3. He fell in the tiebreaker, 10-5.
The Lions (1-3) return to action on Friday against Grove City. Match time is 4 p.m.
