ERIE, Pa. – The Grove City men's tennis team halted Penn State Behrend from getting their first win of the season with an 8-1 decision in non-conference action on Friday night at Westwood Racquet Club.
The Wolverines (2-1) managed to sweep the doubles competition and then won five singles matches for the victory.
Carson Emili (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) used three sets to defeat Chris Collins, 7-6, 2-6, 7-6 at No. 6 singles. Lerdlarp Jaturapol (Bangkok, Thailand/Palmerslon) also took his No. 3 singles match to three sets, falling 6-7, 7-6, 7-6.
The Lions return to action next Friday against Westminster. Match begins at 5 p.m.
