ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team completed the weekend with another sweep of an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opponent, defeating Penn State Altoona 9-0 on Saturday.

The Lions (7-9, 3-0 AMCC) have not surrendered a game in conference play en route to their third AMCC win and second straight.

Taimi Ando (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) and Chris Galvin (Erie, PA/McDowell), the twosome at No. 1 doubles, posted an 8-2 win. Lerdlarp Jaturapol (Bangkok, Thailand/Palmerslon) and David Buiter (London, England/IMG Academies) then tallied an 8-1 victory at second doubles, followed by Raphael Bretz (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) and Guillermo Guillen (San Pedro Sula, Honduras/E.I.S) at No. 3 with a close 9-7 win to sweep the doubles.

Ando, Galvin, Jaturapol and Bretz defeated their opponents in singles play in two sets. Ando earned the No. 1 singles victory with a 6-4, 6-0 decision. Galvin was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 2 singles, while Jaturapol topped his opponent 6-1, 6-2 at the third spot.

Buiter competed at No. 4 singles, going into three sets after falling in the first 6-4 but then battling back to win 6-2, 10-5. At No. 5, Bretz managed a 6-4, 6-0 decision before Carson Emili (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) finished the sweep of Altoona with a 6-4, 6-0 win.

Behrend returns to action on Tuesday at Pitt-Bradford. Match begins at 6 p.m.
