Alfred Too Much For Men's Tennis

OLEAN, NY – Brett Palmer (North East, PA/North East) earned a 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, but the Penn State Behrend men's tennis team fell to Alfred 8-1 in non-conference action on Sunday morning.

The Lions (3-11) were close to winning the third doubles with the duo of George Tomoiga (Reading, PA/Wilson) and Terry Kowalskyj (Dunkirk, MD/Northern). The two fell 9-7 to Evan Haskins and Eric Teller to give the Saxons the sweep in doubles competition.

Palmer was the lone individual singles winner to give him three victories on the weekend.

Behrend returns to action on Friday against Pitt-Bradford, beginning at 4 p.m.
