Men's Tennis Falls to Baldwin Wallace

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace men's tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Penn State Behrend in the first match of spring season on Saturday night at the North Ridge Racquet Club.

The Yellow Jackets won the three doubles matches and then went on to capture five of the six singles matches. Baldwin Wallace only surrendered three doubles points, winning 8-0, 8-1 and 8-2. They also posted four shutouts in singles, before allowing just two set points at No. 5 singles.

The Lions (2-3) were able to take the No. 6 singles match from the Yellow Jackets. Freshman Brent McFarland (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) tallied a 6-2, 6-4 win on the night.

Behrend looks to bounce back tomorrow against AMCC foe Pitt-Bradford. Match begins at 2 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.
