Eastern Nazarene Defeats Men's Tennis in Hilton Head
The Eastern Nazarene men’s tennis team won two doubles matches and five out of the six singles to defeat Penn State Behrend 7-2 in the first match of spring break in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina over spring break.

HILTON HEAD, SC – The Eastern Nazarene men's tennis team won two doubles matches and five out of the six singles to defeat Penn State Behrend 7-2 in the first match of spring break in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina over spring break.
Chris Heintz (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Nick Kapty (Monogahela, PA/Ringgold) were able to pull out a close 9-8 victory at No. 3 doubles for the Lions (6-4).
Brent McFarland (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) won his sixth straight singles match, defeating Kevin Paterno in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 at the No. 3 spot. Michael Funera (Hermitage, PA/Hickory) took the first set from his opponent at No. 6 singles, but fell in three sets (5-7, 6-0, 10-8).
Behrend returns to action tomorrow against Defiance at 2:30 p.m. in Hilton Head Island, SC.
