DELAWARE, Ohio – The Otterbein men's tennis team posted a 6-3 victory over Penn State Behrend in non-conference action played at Ohio Wesleyan University on Sunday afternoon.
The Cardinals won two doubles and four singles matches to defeat the Lions (6-6).
Yanique Apgar (Pittsburgh, PA) and Scott Russell (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper St. Clair) were double winners and the only winners for Behrend.
They teamed up at No. 1 doubles for a 9-8 victory over Perry Williams and Ben Keen. The duo tallied a 7-4 score in the tiebreaker to post their second win together in doubles action this season.
Apgar went on to earn a 7-5, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles over Williams, while Russell managed a 6-1, 6-3 win against Keen.
The Lions return to action on Tuesday at Houghton. Match time is 4:30 p.m.
