Apgar Named AMCC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's tennis player Yanique Apgar (Pittsburgh, PA) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athlete of the Week.

Apgar won a pair of singles and doubles matches at the No. 1 spot to remain undefeated in conference play. He only surrendered two match points at No. 1 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 against both Penn State Altoona and Mt. Aloysius. He also teamed up with Scott Russell to earn 8-1 and 8-2 doubles wins to improve to 3-0 in AMCC action.

The Lions (9-7, 3-0 AMCC) return to action on Friday against Pitt-Bradford at 5 p.m.
