Men's Tennis Set For AMCC Championships Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will be competing for their seventh Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship this weekend at Westwood Racquet Club on Saturday and Sunday.

The Lions enter the championship as the No. 4 seed after posting a 4-2 mark in regular-conference play. Behrend was in a three-way tie with Mt. Aloysius and Medaille, earning the No. 4 seed due to tiebreaker criteria. The Lions will face No. 1 Franciscan on Saturday in the opening semifinal, beginning at 3:30 p.m. No. 2 Mt. Aloysius will take on No. 3 Medaille in the second semifinal at approximately 6 p.m.

The championship match is slated for Sunday, April 28 at 1 p.m. The winner will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Sophomore Belden Tuttle (Fairview, PA/Fairview) has led the Lions in singles play with a 5-1 record, including an undefeated 4-0 mark at the No. 6 spot.
