Behrend Tennis Heads to Otterbein Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend tennis teams are back in action for the first time since the fall season with a non-conference match at Otterbein on Saturday. Both teams are set to play at 1 p.m.

Behrend Women News & Notes:

* The Lions are coming off a second-place finish at the AMCC Championships on Oct. 17
* Erica Jasinski (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and Rachel Weber (Allison Park, PA/Hampton) were named to the AMCC All-Tournament Team
* Jasinski returns this spring after being named First Team All-AMCC in doubles and Second Team All-AMCC in singles
* Jasinski led the Lions with a 10-1 overall record and 5-1 mark in the conference

Behrend Men News & Notes:

* The Lions tallied a 5-2 record this fall, defeating Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Greensburg in AMCC action
* Last time out, Behrend swept the Panthers twice 9-0 on November 14
* Behrend has three players undefeated in singles action
* Johnathan Laier leads the Lions at No. 1 singles with a 3-3 record
* Laier and Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) have a 4-2 record at No. 1 doubles heading into the spring
