HILTON HEAD, SC – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team edged Brevard 5-4 on Thursday in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

* The Lions started out by winning two doubles matches
* Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Evan Dean (New Castle, PA/Neshannock) won in a tiebreaker set 8-7 (7-5) in an exciting No. 2 doubles match
* Ritvik Nadikude (Hyderabad, India/The Gaudium School) and Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles for a 2-1 lead
* Behrend won the No. 1 through No. 3 singles matches for the win
* Laier defeated Ethan McGee in three sets (4-6, 7-5, 10-1) to make the difference in the match
* Nadikude won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles and Mitchell produced the same score for the win at the No. 3 spot
