ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's tennis junior Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) has been selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Laier led Behrend to an 8-1 victory over Washington & Jefferson on Friday night. Laier picked up wins at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles against the Presidents. In doubles, Laier and Akash Sangha only gave up one set point to win 8-1. Laier went on to post a 6-2, 7-5 victory in the top spot.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, March 16 at Houghton. The match begins at 1 p.m.
