Behrend Men's Tennis Faces Altoona on Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will host Penn State Altoona on Saturday at Westwood Racquet Club. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) match begins at 6 p.m.

* The Lions are looking to bounce back from a three-match losing skid
* Last time out, Behrend faced Penn State Altoona in AMCC action
* Altoona defeated the Behrend Lions, 5-2, last Sunday
* Behrend won all three doubles matches for a point and then tallied the No. 5 singles decision
* William Thomas (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg) defeated Gabriel Lopez 6-3, 6-1 in the fifth spot
* Graham Louis (Erie, PA/Fairview) continues to pace the team with seven singles wins, including five at No. 4 singles
* Louis also boasts a 7-3 doubles record with two coming at No. 1
* Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt), Paul Flick (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Vitaliy Pikalo (Hampton, PA/Hampton) all have five doubles wins so far this season
* Back on March 4, Pikalo was named AMCC Athlete of the week for posting a 2-1 overall record in both doubles and singles action
* The Behrend Lions are second in the AMCC with a 1-1 mark, while Altoona is undefeated at 2-0
