More Records Broken at SPIRE Invitational

GENEVA, Oh. – It was a record breaking afternoon for the Penn State Behrend Men's track and field team in Geneva, OH on Saturday.

Malik Moffett-Pulliam (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) continued to impress, winning the high jump competition with a distance of 2.02 meters. That length set a new Penn State Behrend indoor record.

In the distance medley, the Lions' team of Devin Beggs (Franklin, PA/Franklin), Brent Channer (East Stroudsburg, PA/East Stroudsburg), Josh Natalie (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy – Strong Vincent), and Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) set another school record with a time of 10:35.66.

Pullium also finished third in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.03 seconds. That marks the second time in as many weeks the freshman has qualified for ECAS's in both the high jump and the 60 meter dash.

Matthew Grafton (Worthington, PA/Kittanning), Andres Morales (Alajuela, Costa Rica/ICS), Kevin Lai (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood), and Joseph Neff (North East, PA/North East) finished third in the 4X400 relay with a time of 3:31.06.

In the long jump, Geoffrey Faltot (Mercer, PA/Mercer) finished second overall, going a distance of 6.57m.

Mitch Obenrader (Fryburg, PA/North Clarion) placed third in the finals of the shot put, launching the device a distance of 13.94m. Anthony Bauccio (Monroeville, PA/Gateway) came in sixth in the same event, with a distance of 13.25m.
