ERIE, Pa. - Two Penn State Behrend track and field athletes will be competing at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday. The event is held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts with the University of Massachusetts, Boston serving as host.
Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) will be competing in the men's high jump event. Smith is currently ranked in 11th place in the nation with a jump of 2.06m.
Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) will be representing the Lions in the men's pole vault. Georgetson qualified for the NCAA Championship in the 20th spot in Division III. He is coming in with a 4.75m seed mark.
The men's pole vault event will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday while the high jump will begin at 6 p.m.
