ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field program travels to California University of PA this weekend for the first outdoor track and field meet of the season.

* The Lions will begin their outdoor track and field season on Saturday at the Cal U Early Bird Invitational
* Three men's track and field members were named NCAA Division III All-Region for the indoor season
* Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) and Kyle Grimm (Beaver, PA/Beaver Area) were named All-Region in the men's pole vault
* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) was named All-Region in the men's high jump
* Smith excelled at the All-Atlantic track and field championships, placing first to move onto the NCAA Division III Championships
* At the NCAA Championships, Smith finished in eighth place, bringing home a medal and being named an All-American
