Men's Track Set to Compete in John Homon Open

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field program travels to Alliance, Ohio to compete in the John Homon Open hosted by Mount Union this weekend.

* The Lions will compete in the John Homon Open on Friday and Saturday at Mount Union
* Behrend most recently competed in a quad meet at Carnegie Mellon
* As a team, the Lions placed second out of four team
* Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) led the team with 30 points, winning three events
* Stello finished first in the 100m and 200m along with being a leg in the winning 4x100m team
* Stello was named the Colonial State Athletic Conference (CSAC) Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the quad meet
* Along with Stello, Elijah Dangrow (Greenville, PA/Greenville) was named the CSAC Field Athlete of the Week
* Dangrow won the men's pole vault event with a height of 4.45m
* With this height, Dangrow hit a new PR and qualified of the All-Atlantic meet
* Another top finisher was Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) who took home first place in the high jump with a leap of 2.00m
