ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's outdoor track & field program will compete in the SRU Open on Thursday at Slippery Rock beginning at 10:30 a.m.

* The Lions will travel to Slippery Rock, PA on Thursday to compete in the SRU Open
* Behrend competed in the Westminster Invitational last time out
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) had a fourth place finish in the shot put event with a toss of 14.61m and a 13th place finish in the discus (36.16m)
* Michael was named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Field Athlete of the Week for his performance
* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) took had a leap of 1.94m to take home second place in the men's high jump
* Smith is ranked first in the CSAC in the event as well as being ranked 15th in NCAA Division III standings
* Kurt Eberhardt (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) finished fifth in the men's 200m dash with a season-best time of 22.55
* Eberhardt was named Honor Roll for the CSAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week
* Eberhardt is ranked first in the CSAC in the 200m
