Lions Compete at Houghton Friday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track & field team competed in the Houghton December Classic on Friday evening.
Key Moments:
* Kurt Eberhardt (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) and Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) had AARTFC qualifying marks in the men's 60m, finishing in first and second place, respectively
* Zachary Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) took home gold in the men's mile with a time of 4:35.86
* Eberhardt, Stello, and Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) came one, two, and three in 300m run, all breaking the school record
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA / Iroquois) and Jake Rose (Erie, PA / Iroquois) both qualified for the AARTFC meet in the shot put, coming in first and fourth place
* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) finished second in the men's high jump with a jump of 2.04m
* Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) and Kyle Grimm (Beaver, PA/Beaver Area) hit qualifying heights in the pole vault, hitting higher than 4.40m
