Track and Field Finishes Day One of All-Atlantic Championship

ROCHESTER, NY. – The Penn State Behrend track & field team competed in day one of the All-Atlantic Regional Championships on Friday evening.

Key Moments: 

* Sophomore Nick Lachut (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) took home bronze in the pole vault, clearing 4.73m and registering six team points for Behrend
* Elijah Dangrow (Greenville, PA/Greenville) followed Lachut, tallying a nine place finish (4.43m)
* Both men and women's distance medley relay teams finish in fifth place, each scoring four points for the Lions
* The women's DMR team of Julia Fasiczka (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin), Suraihyah Sule (Snellville, GA/Shiloh), Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area), and Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford) finished with a time of 12:51.52
* Chris Drozynski (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview), Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport), Zachary Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview), Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) finished in 10:26.89
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) scored four points for Behrend with a fifth place mark in the men's shot put, throwing 14.87m
* Following Michael was Jake Rose (Erie, PA/Iroquois) in 23rd place (13.66m)
* Sophomore Emily Mischen (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) tallied a 19th place finish in the shot put (11.37m)
