Men's Track and Field Travels to Slippery Rock Saturday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's indoor track & field program opens the season at the Dave Labor Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock on Saturday.

* The Lions open the 2021 season on Saturday after not competing since March 7, 2020
* The roster of 36 consists of 10 freshmen, nine sophomores, 10 juniors, and seven seniors
* Head coach Greg Cooper begins his season 13th season at the helm of the track and field program
* Top returners for the Lions include senior Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) a two-time NCAA Championship qualifier and All-American in the indoor high jump
* Pole vaulters Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) and Nick Lachut (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) were also named All-Americans last season for qualifying for the NCAA Championship
* The meet begins at 9 a.m. for running events and 9:30 a.m. for throwing events
