Track and Field Tallies Top Finishes at Home Meet

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend track & field team hosted the Behrend Invitational today.

Key Moments:

* The Lions had many top finishes at their home meet
* Amory Coleman-Reeves (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) tallied a first-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.10 to match a career-best
* Coleman-Reeves also won the 200m dash, running 22.24 to beat his best career time
* The women's 4x100m team of Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry), Kira Nicholson (Scottdale, PA/Southmoreland), Maria Campbell (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy), and Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) took home the gold with a time of 56.46
* Behrend had the top-three finishers in the 3000m steeplechase. Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) led the way (9:50.43) followed by Nick Temel (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Area) (10:28.92) and Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) (10:30.08)
* The Lions also had the first three finishers in the high jump. Behrend was led by Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) (2.00m). Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) finished in second (1.90m) and Evan States (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) finished third (1.80m)
