ERIE, Pa. – The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its Division III Indoor Track and Field All-Region team, naming Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) and Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) as selections.

Both Hetrick and Smith were top-10 in the nation in the high jump. The duo each had a leap of 2.08m at the Steemer Showcase, launching themselves up the leaderboards and on to the national rankings on January 29. One week later at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, Hetrick would top his previous best with a mark of 2.10m. That mark currently ranks fourth in all of Division III. Smith sits tied for sixth in the nation with his 2.08m performance.

This is the second appearance for Smith on the USTFCCCA All-Region list as he was tabbed as a freshman in 2019-20.
