Men's Track and Field Claims Sixth-Consecutive CSAC Title

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team won their sixth-straight Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship on Sunday, finishing with 302 team points.

Noteworthy:

* Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon), Blake Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson), Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) and Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) took first in the 4x100m relay and also qualified for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships
* The same pairing also took the top finish in the 4x400m relay
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) grabbed gold in the 800m, finishing in 1:56.55 and also qualifying for the AARTFC's
* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) won his fourth-consecutive CSAC Title in the high jump, registering a mark of 2.00m
* Stehlik finished second in the 100m and 200m
* Stehlik logged an AARTFC-qualifying mark in the 200m with a 22.18 finish
* Islam Daghestani (Meadville, PA/Meadville Area) topped all others in the pole vault, clinching the CSAC Championship with a vault of 3.80m
* Nick Lachut (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) and Lucas Makai (Columbus, NJ/Northern Burlington Regional) each placed in the top-3, finishing second and third, respectively
* Head coach Greg Cooper was announced as the 2022 Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year
