Men's Indoor T&F Headed to AARFTC Championships

NEW YORK, NY – The men's track and field team heads to New York, NY this weekend for the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships held at the NYC Armory.

Behrend News & Notes:

* Behrend will appear in nine different events this weekend
* Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) and Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) qualified for a team-high three events each
* Stell will compete in the 60m and 200m, while Bhambhwani is set to run in the 60m hurdles and compete in the high jump
* Both will be in the 4x200m relay along with Blake Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson Area) and Derek Hillhouse (Erie, PA/McDowell)
* Burns is also set to compete in the 60m hurdles
* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) holds the top Division III height in the high jump, clearing 6'11" at Wittenberg on February 18
* Hetrick will join Bhambhwani in the high jump
* In the pole vault, Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) and Islam Daghestani (Meadville, PA/Meadville Area) will represent the Lions
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) is the lone competitor for Behrend in the 800m, while Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) will be throwing in the shot put
