Behrend Men's Track & Field Competes at Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend outdoor men's track & field team competed at the John Papa Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock Invitational on Thursday.

Key Moments:

* Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) took second in the high jump with an AARTFC qualifying mark of 2.00m
* Christopher Annear (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) also had a second-place finish for the Lions
* Annear was runner up in the 1500m event with a time of 18:04.01
* Islam Daghestani (Meadville, PA/Meadville Area) had the best finish for Behrend in the pole vault, placing third with a height of 4.51m
* Matthew Laslavic (Evans City, PA/Seneca Valley) was sixth in the triple jump (13.25m) and also took eighth in the high jump (1.90m)
* Nathan DiGilio (North East, PA/North East) had the best throws in the discus and hammer
* DiGilio placed 11th in the discus (38.20m) and 12th in the hammer (34.93m)
* In the 400m dash, Joe Elgin (Herndon, VA/Herndon) posted a time of 55.63 for 11th place
