Behrend Men's Track & Field Places Third at Sparky Adams Invitational

BEREA, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend outdoor men's track & field team placed third out of 16 teams with 85 points at the Sparky Adams Invitational held by Baldwin Wallace on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* The Lions tallied four first-place finishes on the day
* Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) gets the win in the 3000m steeplechase with an AARTFC qualifying time of 9:53.92
* Alex LaBarge (Victor, NY/Victor) was first in the pole vault with a height of 3.95m
* In the high jump, Behrend tallied five of the first nine places led by Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley)
* Hetrick won with a jump of 2.01m while Anand Bhambhwani (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) took third in the high jump (1.96m)  
* Matthew Laslavic (Evans City, PA/Seneca Valley) was fifth in the high jump (1.86)
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) threw a distance of 49.21m on his fifth throw in the discus to win the event
* Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) took third in the shot put with a distance of 13.58m on his first throw, while Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) was third in the 800m (1:56.07)
* In the 10,000m race, Joey George (Leechburg, PA/Kiski) placed fourth overall (34:39.38)
